What's difference between Sativa and Indica?

Starting from the beginning these two strains take on a look of their own. Cannabis Sativa can grow very tall with long flowers with an almost airy look to them.  Sativa plants are easily identified by their long thin leaves that are a light green color. Whereas, Cannabis Indica is a shorter and more plump looking more Bush-like. The leaves on an Indica are wider, fatter leaves that are a darker more luscious green.

Enough users have had similar effects while using Sativa and Indica strains of cannabis that they have come to this general consensus: Cannabis Indica strains are far more indicative of feelings of relaxation and are known to have sedative like effects making the user feel more calm. The “High” users have when using Indica strains seem to effect the body more and the mind less, this is most likely because of the higher levels of CBD found in Indica Strains of Cannabis.  Sativa strains however have been reported to make users feel more energetic and uplifted. to have a “Head High” most likely due to the higher levels of THC found in sativa dominant strains. 

One of the more notable difference between Indica and Sativa is when users choose to consume them. Because of the higher levels of CBD found in Indica dominant strains of cannabis many users to boast about its ability to help them fall asleep. In many studies Indica has been used to help treat insomnia. Whereas the opposite effect has been seen in Sativa dominant strains so many users prefer to use them during the day to help keep them energized and uplifted. 

Taste The Difference 

The differences in these two species isn’t only something you can see but taste as well. Sativa and Indica are both made up of different combinations of Terpenes. Terpenes are what give flowers their smell and each fruit its taste. Each strain of cannabis is made up of its own unique terpene combo. Indica strains are known to have a sweeter more fruit set of terpenes.
